Reduce, reuse and recycle. If you have had your decorations for many years then keep using them. However when they finally give up the ghost then maybe you could replace them with more eco friendly versions. There are a lot more options around now. There are always the home made options as well.

You could make memories with Christmas tree decorations. Choose one each year made by children, or bought when on holiday somewhere, add the name and age/ place and year on the back. Each year when you get the tree out, you can look at these and remember.

Fiji Santa used to arrive by boat when I was small. These days I expect he sensibly wears a short sleeved shirt and shorts but I do remember him back in the day sweating profusely in a very British version in full gear.
